Tata to solve Nexon’s biggest weakness!
Tata Nexon is one of the hottest products in the Indian car market. Offered in multiple variants and plenty of features, it is also one of the highest-selling cars in its category. Available in petrol as well as diesel powertrain, Nexon continues to cater to varied users. However, it is often said that no one is perfect and it implies in this car. Why do we say this? We are talking about its infotainment system which is considered on the smaller side compared to its rivals. But, there are chances that Tata is likely to solve it. The new Tata Nexon facelift is likely to solve its major weakness.
Tata Nexon facelift – Weakness solved!
Tata Nexon is already a feature-loaded vehicle with features like wireless charging, ventilated seats, a premium audio system and more. However, there’s always room for betterment. Therefore, we could see the new facelift model get plenty of additions including a new digital instrument cluster, 360-degree camera and more. Also, there are high chances that Tata might be upgrading the infotainment system of the car which is currently a 7-inch unit. The brand might upgrade it with a similar setup as the Harrier and Safari which is a 10.25-inch.
Tata Nexon facelift – What other changes?
The Nexon facelift has been spotted testing on Indian roads in complete camouflage. The overall silhouette of the car is completely similar to what we currently see on the Nexon. So, being a facelift model, the exterior is likely to tweak. In the spotted images, we could see small highlights of the eyebrow DRLs, muscular fenders, and connecting LED taillamp as some of the highlight exterior features. Nexon has always shined on the safety front but then too, Tata might take it to the next level by offering ADAS in it. Though nothing is official but we can expect it.
The current engine options of the Nexon comprise the 1.2-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel. If we talk about the Nexon facelift, Tata might replace it with the new mill which was showcased at the Auto Expo 2023. The new engine which is also 1.2-litre turbo petrol makes 123bhp and 225Nm of torque. The diesel mill is likely to remain unchanged with the 1.5-litre making 113bhp and 260Nm of torque.
