Nissan is quite a unique brand in the Indian market. As a brand, it is known for its affordable cars, but Nissan did try its hand at premium SUVs and sedans in the market with the Teanna, 370Z, Terrano etc. However, of late Nissan is only surviving on the sales of Magnite. In October, it unveiled three new SUVs – X-trail, Qashqai and Juke. There is uncertainty regarding the launch of Qashqai and Juke. We have now obtained spy shots of the Qashqai. In today’s article, let’s talk about Nissan Qashqai 2023.
The spy shots were sent to us by one of our fellow readers dev_brat_ on Instagram. The car is covered in heavy camouflage, but we can spot the unique headlamp and DRL design of the Qashqai. Overall from the side profile, the car looks quite sleek and stylish. We can also spot the tapering roofline giving it a coupe-like design. What are your thoughts about the Nissan Qashqai design? Do let us know in the comments.
The Nissan Qashqai is based on Nissan-Renault’s CMF-CD platform. What about the engine specifications? Nissan is yet to reveal the India specs, but globally it comes with two engine options. So it gets a 1.3-litre petrol mild hybrid engine capable of producing 153bhp and 270Nm of torque. The second engine option could be a 1.5-litre petrol engine with self-charging functionality capable of producing 187bhp and 330Nm of torque.
Nissan Qashqai 2023 – Launch timeline
Nissan hasn’t revealed the exact launch timeline of the Qashqai. However, the Qashqai has been spotted several times in testing, hinting that the launch could happen by the end of 2023. There is uncertainty about whether it will come through the CBU route or the CKD route, so it is hard to predict its exact pricing.
