New Rs 7 lakh car to take on the Maruti Swift!
Maruti has a gracious plenty lineup of hatchbacks in different price brackets. But, if you are looking for a fun-to-drive hatchback with sporty styling, Swift has always been the answer from Maruti. Another such brand is Hyundai which rivals the Swift with the Grand i10 Nios. Moreover, the South Korean automaker is soon to revive it with new updates. Design
The Grand i10 Nios was in need to get a facelift update and Hyundai is just doing it. The car has been spotted testing in India with wraps covering the bumpers and rear. This further suggests that the facelift model is set to get an updated set of bumpers, a new rear look, and more. Other changes like blacked-out ORVMs, dual-tone paint schemes, projector headlamps, LED DRLs, etc are also spotted.

The Grand i10 Nios was a loaded package overall. However, the feature list is to rise with more new-age features. What can you expect? First of all, the dashboard layout is likely to get updated, then we can see an all-digital instrument cluster, updated sound system and more.
Specifications
As Hyundai is sprucing up the Nios with a facelift update, engine upgrades could not be on the list. The Grand i10 Nios facelift could continue to get the 1.2-litre petrol engine making 82bhp and 114nm of torque. The other engine option is likely to be the 1.0-litre turbo petrol making 99bhp and 172Nm of torque. Transmission duties would be done by a 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox. Apart from this, the car also might get a CNG option with the 1.2-litre petrol engine just like the current car.
Maruti Swift rival – Launch and Pricing
As Maruti also plans to bring the new generation Swift next year, the updated Grand i10 Nios facelift could be a perfect rival to it. So, it resonates more chances that Hyundai might also launch it in the next year. What about pricing? Pricing is expected to rise depending on the updates it would get. We are expecting an increase of around Rs 50,000 over the current car.
