Mahindra's next SUV spotted testing!
Mahindra has truly ridden the SUV craze in the country. Its sales have skyrocketed with the XUV700 and Scorpio-N. Mahindra wants to continue this momentum by bringing in more SUVs. It is working on several new SUVs and one of them is the Bolero Neo Plus. The Neo Plus is now spotted in new spy shots. In today's article, let's talk about the next Mahindra SUV.
The new spy shots were sent to us by Roshan Purkar. The SUV has got camouflage over some minor bits. We can clearly see the Bolero Neo Plus badging at the rear and curved tail lamps. The tail-mounted tyre has been hidden, which could be the new Mahindra logo. We get a sneak peek into the interior. We have an 8-inch infotainment system and an analogue instrument cluster. Exterior highlights include halogen headlamps and a front design similar to the Bolero Neo.
What else do we know?
The Bolero Neo Plus is expected to come with a bigger engine than the Bolero Neo. So it could come with a 2.2-litre diesel engine capable of producing 130bhp and 300Nm of torque. Like the Bolero Neo, it will sadly miss out on an automatic gearbox option. Could we see MTT tech on the Bolero Neo Plus? Yes, Mahindra might offer its MTT technology on the Neo Plus.
Next Mahindra SUV - Launch timeline
It seemed like Mahindra had dropped the plan to launch the Bolero Neo Plus as the car was not spotted testing for the last five to six months. However, the recent spotting has reignited the hope of a launch soon. We expect Mahindra to launch the Bolero Neo Plus by the end of this year. What about the pricing? The Bolero Neo Plus is expected to start from Rs 13 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
