Citroen C3 Aircross - 5 things to know!

Citroen is ramping up its efforts in the country. It has figured out that it needs to bring more products to install confidence in people’s minds. Earlier this year, Citroen launched the eC3. Now it plans to target the C-SUV segment. The C-SUV segment is the most fiercely competed in the market and Citroen will need to buckle up. In today’s article, let’s talk about the Citroen C3 Aircross. 

Design

Recently, Citroen released the first teaser showcasing the headlamp design of the C3 Aircross. It is quite similar to other Citroen cars. From the earlier spy shots, the side profile looked quite proportionate. This spied car didn’t sport alloy wheels, which will be a big miss. At the rear, we spotted C-shaped LED tail lamps. 

Specifications

The Citroen C3 Aircross is expected to get engine specifications similar to the C3 hatchback. So it could get the 1.2-litre turbo petrol capable of producing 108bhp and 190Nm of torque. The naturally aspirated 1.2-litre engine capable of producing 81bhp and 115Nm could be quite underpowered for the C3 Aircross. So Citroen will need another engine option to attract buyers. 

Seating capacity

Citroen wants to go hard in this segment. According to reports, it is planning to launch a 5-seater and a 7-seater version of the C3 Aircross. This will give the buyers several options in this segment. Citroen could launch the 5-seater option first and could bring the 7-seater option a few months after that. 

More features

Citroen seems to have learned its lesson with the C3 hatchback. It has already improved the feature list of the C3 hatchback and we expect the C3 Aircross to come with more features. It is expected to come with a sunroof, digital instrument cluster, 10-inch infotainment, electric ORVMs, rear AC vents etc. Safety features could include 6 airbags, ABS + EBD, ESC etc. 

Citroen C3 Aircross – Launch and pricing 

Citroen has already posted the first teaser of the C3 Aircross. The brand will be unveiling the car on the 27th of April.  We expect Citroen to first unveil the car followed by a launch a few months later. What about the pricing? The pricing of Citroen C3 Aircross is to be priced around the Rs 12 lakh mark.
